Diane Sintich, made her West Bay Opera debut covering the role of Desdemona in Otello in the spring of 2013. In the summer of 2012 she participated in the new Wagner Intensive headed by Jane Eaglen and Tim Mussard, performing scenes as Irene in Rienzi and Waltraute in Die Walküre.
In 2011, Ms. Sintich was the recipient of the William O. Cord Memorial Grant awarded by the Wagner Society of Northern California, where she performed the Wesendonck lieder and arias from Tannhäuser.
Before her true repertoire made itself known, Diane was studying intensely as an actor in New York City. New York acting credits include, “Law and Order,” a national tour of Julius Caesar as Portia and intensive scene-study at the renowned Studio Dante, under the tutelage of Vincent Curatola, Sharon Angela, Nick Sandow and Michael Imperioli.
Ms. Sintich was invited to compete in Seattle Opera’s 2007 Wagner Competition and was a finalist of the Ravello competition in Amalfi, Italy in 2009.
